Job Description:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day running of  their healthcare facilities. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver direct patient care, ensuring comfort, and supporting the well-being of patients. These positions require caring nature, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Care: Provide high-quality care to patients, including washing, dressing, and assisting with personal hygiene. Monitor patient conditions by taking temperatures, pulse, respirations, and weight.
  2. Clinical Support: Assist in clinical duties such as preparing patients for examinations, wound care, and assisting with medical procedures under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals.
  3. Communication: Maintain effective communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team. Provide information and support to patients and relatives.
  4. Record Keeping: Accurately record and report patient information as required. Ensure confidentiality and compliance with data protection regulations.
  5. Equipment and Supplies Management: Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of patient rooms and equipment. Assist in the management and stock control of supplies.
  6. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other team members, contributing positively to the team dynamics and supporting colleagues.
  7. Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and personal development activities to maintain and enhance your skills.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent, is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to work flexibly across various shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Basic IT skills for record-keeping and reporting.
  • Must pass a background check and have the right to work in the UK.
